Lincotek Medical Grows Coating Capacity in China

Lincotek Medical made a significant investment in its Wuxi, China manufacturing center, doubling its coating capacity for orthopedic implants and launching a new cleaning and packaging line. The move comes despite the challenges presented by the global coronavirus pandemic.

The facility’s coating services are now supported by a second CAPS Intercooler, Lincotek’s proprietary equipment for highly advanced porous coatings. New cleaning and packaging services support both temporary and final packaging.

“Being impacted heavily by the Covid-19 crisis, we are very proud of the fast and professional reaction of our Chinese team,” said Winfried Schaller, CEO of Lincotek Group. “The manufacturing center has coped well, working alongside local authorities to re-open the plant with additional precautions and regulations in place to protect workers and visitors from the virus, while ensuring a continuous supply of high-quality products reflecting our responsibility as a strategic supplier to the medical industry in China.”

Mark Huguet, General Manager of Lincotek Medical Wuxi, said, “In what has been a difficult period, I am very proud, that we are able to announce an important investment in our facility here in China, which will allow us to provide an even higher standard of service and react more quickly to the needs of customers. It shows the level of commitment that Lincotek has to meet the needs of Lincotek Medical’s customer base in China.”

Lincotek Medical is a global contract manufacturer for orthopedic, trauma, spine and dental markets. The business has more than 1,100 employees located in 16 production facilities across Europe, North America and Asia.
