U.K.-based 3D LifePrints completed a successful investment round of £1.2 million (~USD $1.4 million). Funds will support the company’s presence and growth in domestic and international markets. This latest round follows earlier investments of nearly £0.7 million.
3D LifePrints offers 3D printed medical device prototypes and embedded biomedical engineers and services to the NHS and other organizations. Orthopedic tools include anatomical models for procedure planning, surgical cutting guides, instruments and titanium implants for craniomaxillofacial surgery, though the company serves other medical specialties, as well.
The company presently provides these services from embedded 3D printing facilities/hubs at three U.K. hospitals. It seeks to expand to 50 hubs by 2024, including the U.S. and throughout Europe.
