In’Tech Medical Acquires Asian Contract Manufacturer Ortho Solutions

In’Tech Medical, a contract manufacturer of orthopaedic surgical instruments, acquired Ortho Solutions, an Asian contract manufacturer of orthopaedic implants and instruments.

The transaction provides In’Tech with a platform to increase penetration of the Asia-Pacific markets. This follows In’Tech Medical’s acquisition of Turner Medical in 2015 in the U.S., strengthening the company’s global footprint as a contract manufacturer in orthopaedics.

François Samson, Sales Engineer, In’Tech Medical, recently told BONEZONE that the market for prototyping is evolving quickly. “Time-to-market is becoming more critical for our customers. This is why we launched The Prototype Garage in 2015, a standalone prototype-dedicated cell embedded at the heart of our manufacturing facilities and isolated from our production lines to facilitate and guarantee this rapid delivery setting,” Samson says. “From a regulatory standpoint, we are seeing more stringent requirements from FDA to ensure that processes and equipment are validated.”
