Pulse Systems Announces Addition of CNC Machining Services

Pulse Systems now offers precision CNC machining of small custom components for medical devices, as well as precision laser services and implant manufacturing. The company's newly-acquired CNC machining equipment is capable of milling, turning, boring and drilling of very small features on a range of biocompatible materials. In addition to machining solid bar materials such as stainless steel, Nitinol and titanium up to .787" in diameter, this equipment is also capable of handling tubular or cannulated starting materials as small as .032" in outside diameter.

To make room for these new capabilities, Pulse Systems recently completed the 1st stage of a multi-step expansion and renovation of its Concord, California facility. By 2012, the company will have doubled its total facility space to accommodate growth in its machining operations and its overall business level.

Joining Pulse Systems to develop and manage its in-house conventional machining operations as Manager of CNC Machining is David Schell, who was previously employed by Alphatec Spine in Carlsbad, CA as Manager of Advanced Manufacturing, producing spinal implants and related surgical instruments.
