nTopology Raises Funding to Support Advanced Engineering Software

nTopology raised $40 million in a Series C round of funding. The infusion will support:

• making the nTop Platform more accessible to all engineers and designers
• nTopology’s goal to build powerful engineering software, eliminating bottlenecks in traditional modeling technology
• The ability to help engineers innovate faster, create new solutions to pressing global issues and foster new markets

nToplogy expects that within the next five years, engineering companies will produce approximately 30% of all parts using additive or other advanced manufacturing processes. The nTop Platform is designed to empower the design of the majority of these parts.

nTop is not a replacement for traditional CAD, but a tool for use alongside existing systems to solve new problems for which traditional CAD was not suitable.

Insight Partners led the round, alongside existing venture partners Root, Canaan, DCVC, & Haystack. Josh Fredberg of Insight Partners, previously with ANSYS and PTC, will join nTopology’s Board of Directors, which also includes Carl Bass, the former CEO of Autodesk.
