Mediliant Acquires Medical Device & Implants (MDI)

Mediliant, a Swiss-based medical contract manufacturer serving the U.S. orthopedic and spine industries, has acquired Medical Device & Implants (MDI), a Pennsylvania-based manufacturer of small implants used in extremities, spine and trauma, expanding Mediliant’s activity in the U.S.

Founded in 2012, MDI possesses high technical expertise, an experienced team of 60+ and a reputation for quality and on-time delivery. Located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. MDI recently expanded its production capabilities and is showing solid growth.

Mediliant and MDI will benefit from significant synergies. “We have a strong common technical expertise and offer an integrated service covering the entire manufacturing process, from engineering/prototyping to sterile packaging,” said Denis Leissing, Mediliant’s Chief Executive Officer. “We share a similar corporate culture, with an entrepreneurial spirit and a customer-centered approach.”
