Incipio Devices to Add New Facility in Indiana

In its second expansion in under three years, Incipio Devices plans to invest more than $14 million to purchase and equip a new 15,000-square-foot facility in Huntington, Indiana, adding up to 52 jobs by the end of 2023. The company employs more than 100 at its present locations in Indiana and Switzerland. The initiative will help accommodate and accelerate growth.

Incipio Devices designs orthopedic devices for use with existing implant platforms and also contract manufactures implants and instruments for all joints. In 2017, the company announced a more than $7 million investment at the original Huntington, Indiana location. Since then, they have tripled their job growth projects.

“We have been very happy with our investment in this community over the last five years and have found the city, county and the state to be very good partners in helping us succeed,” said Troy Johnson, President. “Our location has also been very good for finding the type of employees we need to grow the business and support our customers. We are very satisfied with the talent in Huntington and the surrounding counties.”

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Incipio Devices up to $525,000 in conditional tax credits, which the company will not be eligible to claim until regional workers are hired for the new jobs. The city of Huntington will also consider additional incentives.
