Swiss Precision Machining (SPM) appointed Stephanie LaVezzi as its new Sales Manager. She comes to SPM from LaVezzi Precision, where she had developed and grown the company’s medical machining business since 1992.
Ms. LaVezzi’s sales career began at the company that her great-grandfather founded in 1908. When she started, they were focused on the manufacture of precision machined components for the motion picture industry. Ms. LaVezzi learned about the medical device industry and brought on medical device OEM customers. At her departure, medical machining was almost 99% of LaVezzi Precision’s total business when she left.
In addition to the responsibilities of the Sales and Marketing Manager role, Ms. LaVezzi was also responsible for developing, implementing and managing the ISO 13485 quality system at LaVezzi Precision.
Ms. LaVezzi said, “I love working with medical device companies because I know what we are doing makes a difference in the lives of people. I’m manufacturing components that become part of a life-saving or life-improving device. In addition, components for the medical industry must be of the highest quality which make them more challenging and I love a challenge.” She added, “My goal is to provide high precision contract manufacturing services to medical and dental device companies that are seeking the highest level of quality and customer service.”
