HIGHPOWER Labs Announces New General Manager

Mariann Nestrick was promoted to General Manager of HIGHPOWER Validation Testing & Lab Services, working directly under Gary Socola, President. Ms. Nestrick previously held the title of Director of Business Development for over two years.

As a member of executive management, she works closely with the business office and lab management team to ensure that short and long-term goals are communicated and attained. She has been influential in the area of sales and marketing, including the creation and release of the company's first Service Guide in 2018, and was the key individual responsible for the creation of HIGHPOWER's corporate video in 2019.

Ms. Nestrick participates in many industry events, including trade shows and the AAMI Sterilization Standards Meetings to expand her knowledge of medical device standards.

“Having spent almost 20 years working in the medical device industry, first with a Class II medical device manufacturer, and now with HIGHPOWER Labs, I have seen many changes ranging from the evolving regulatory landscape to the physical design and characteristics of the medical devices themselves. The introduction and growth of low-temperature sterilization processes has created a huge market for functionality and compatibility testing of medical devices that cannot withstand the Steam sterilization process. Coupled with the relatively uncertain future of EtO, it will be interesting times ahead for medical device manufacturers and test laboratories,"

HIGHPOWER Validation Testing & Lab Services has been validating reusable medical devices for device manufacturers for over 25 years. HIGHPOWER initially specialized in the validation testing of sterilizers, but has since expanded into testing a multitude of other class II medical devices.
