Orchid Orthopedic Solutions completed the appointment of new members of its Board of Directors. Gary Fischetti, former Company Group Chairman Medical Devices – North America at Johnson and Johnson is Orchid’s Chairman. Lonny Carpenter, former Group President at Stryker, and Steve Meyer, former Chairman of Paragon Medical, have been named to Orchid’s board.
Mr. Fischetti retired as Company Group Chairman – North America, where he oversaw all aspects of sales and marketing strategy and execution for all of J&J’s Medical Device businesses. He has nearly a 35-year tenure with J&J, serving in leadership roles in multiple businesses and holding various roles with domestic and worldwide responsibilities.
Mr. Carpenter is a recently-retired global medical devices business executive with more than 30 years of experience building businesses at Stryker Corporation worldwide. His background includes operational and commercial leadership roles. His tenure at Stryker was one of profitable growth and shareholder value creation through portfolio management and productivity, innovation and sustainability initiatives.
Mr. Meyer, former President and CEO of Welch Allyn and former Chairman of Paragon Medical, is a healthcare executive with more than 30 years of experience in building global businesses and strong teams in performance-based, change-oriented environments. He has served on boards for more than 15 years.
