Tyber Medical officially opened its new vertically-integrated medical device manufacturing facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking completion of its large-scale expansion to its facility in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania that began four years after its move from Morristown, New Jersey.

The project, an over $8 million investment by Tyber, adds 35,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space. The company expects to add another 30 jobs to its current workforce of 86 technical and professional personnel and support its mission to offer rapid access to FDA-cleared and CE-Marked implants for the spine, extremities and trauma.

Since moving to the Lehigh Valley, Tyber Medical has more than doubled its workforce with assistance from a $100,000 job creation grant that helped fund the expansion.

Founded in 2012, Tyber Medical has released 18 spine and 33 trauma/extremity systems to date. When aligned with the anticipated needs of medical device companies, time to market can be as little as four months, compared to traditional internal solutions that typically take 18 to 36 months.
