Link3D Closes $7M Funding Round to Support Expansion in North America, Europe & Japan

Link3D, provider of Additive MES (manufacturing execution system) workflow software, closed a $7 million venture capital funding round to spur growth in North America, Europe and Japan.

Led by applied artificial intelligence-focused venture capital firm AI Capital, the infusion will support Link3D’s future technology innovations and global expansion. Link3D intends to combine its flagship product with IoT, artificial intelligence and workflow automation technology to maximize production with capacity management, dynamic scheduling and predictive QMS solutions.

Link3D customers reportedly see a nearly 600% reduction in order processing time from order submission to production queue. What once took three days to process, now takes less than four hours. Further, the company states that one out of every four companies gains an immediate increase in productivity by using AM Workflow Software, realizing a quicker quotation and production turnaround. A Digital Part Inventory centralizes production files, machine and material parameters, post-processing and quality assurance requirements, allowing engineers and supply chain representatives to reorder parts in one click.

“With this funding round, Link3D will continue to scale and grow operations in North America, Europe, and Japan by expanding our sales and customer support,” said Shane Fox, Co-Founder and CEO of Link3D. “The funding will also aid in our R&D efforts to introduce workflow automation and artificial intelligence within the additive manufacturing production environment. These developments will help organizations around the world unlock the true benefits of industrial manufacturing.”
