Unitedcoatings Begins Rebrand to Lincotek

Following its acquisition of CoorsTek Medical earlier this year, Unitedcoatings Group (UCG) will rebrand the entity as Lincotek Medical. This launches the rebranding of UCG’s entire group of subsidiaries to better communicate its global offering to customers under the Lincotek name.

The evolution of UCG to Lincotek will be completed in January 2020. The new name is intended to evoke its people, reliability, technology, R&D, competence, seniority, professionalism, international reach and flexibility, according to a company spokesperson.

“This is the first step in our global rebranding initiative under the name Lincotek,” said Winfried Schaller, CEO. “It’s time to present ourselves under one coherent brand while leveraging the goodwill of our current brands including Turbocoating, Artec, Eurocoating, Surface Dynamics, Anteco, NanoSurfaces, Eurocoating Wuxi and, now CoorsTek Medical.”

Lincotek Medical, formerly CoorsTek Medical, is a provider of full-service contract medical device development and manufacturing. Serving orthopedic segments of spine, trauma and joint replacement, the division offers casting and machining of implants and instruments as well as product development services.

Surface Dynamics and Eurocoating focus on plasma spray coatings and additive manufacturing technologies, while the NanoSurfaces division offers machining, finishing, anodization and sterile packaging. Anteco joined Eurocoating in 2012 to support growing orthopedic customer demand. Eurocoating Wuxi joined the group in 2016.

The company’s multiple acquisitions have enabled it to expand capabilities to become a traditional contract manufacturer on a global scale. In August, Gennaro D’Andrea, Worldwide General Manager of the Medical Division of UCG, described the purchase of CoorsTek Medical to BONEZONE as a strategic growth decision.
