Micropulse Announces $6.8MM Expansion

Micropulse will invest $6.8MM to expand its Columbia City facility and create up to 25 jobs by the end of 2020.

The initiative will support a growing orthopedic device company customer base, for which the company supplies implants, instruments, cases & trays and sterile packaging services. Micropulse will add 15,000 square feet to its present 160,000-square-foot facility in Columbia City, Indiana and will renovate 3,000 square feet of existing space.

The project will receive state and local economic development incentives, including up to $115,000 in conditional tax credits once new staff are hired, increasing its employee base from the present 360+ members.

“It is humbling to see the ongoing support our local government and community extend to Micropulse,” said Brian More, Chief Financial Officer of Micropulse. “Whitley County and the state of Indiana have always partnered with Micropulse to help realize our growth initiatives. Our vision is to always be better; work alongside our employees to be better people, bring added value to our customers and help build our local community. Sustained growth does not happen without the talented, committed and loyal employees who exemplify the Micropulse core values.”
