OKAY Industries Names Steven Kmiec as Director of Manufacturing

OKAY Industries, a contract manufacturer, has promoted Steven Kmiec from Senior Manufacturing Engineer to Director of Manufacturing. In his role, Kmiec will oversee the daily manufacturing operations at OKAY Industries’ domestic facilities in New Britain and Berlin, Connecticut and will also support production activities for the Costa Rica facility. He will support supporting the company’s strategic growth initiatives, integrating new technologies and processes to support a global customer base.

Kmiec brings more than 30 years of multi-disciplined work experience in product application and development engineering from a range of industries including medical, aerospace, automotive, defense and consumer goods. He is a skilled operations and engineering manager as well as an experienced team builder, who is well-versed in computer-aided design (CAD), SolidWorks, CNC programming, lean operations, value stream mapping, and failure mode and effects analysis.

OKAY Industries works with orthopedic device companies, manufacturing precision components and offering support in engineering and design for manufacturability for implantables, instruments, etc.
