Contract Manufacturer Precision Medical Technologies (PreMedTec) concluded the purchase of over $2.5 million worth of capital equipment, including four Swiss lathes with magazine bar feeders, three 5-axis mills, grinding equipment, a CMM and electro-polishing equipment. Further, the company plans to expand its newest manufacturing facility in North Manchester, Indiana, in mid-2019.
Due to PreMedTec’s significant growth in all three of its manufacturing facilities, increasing capacity and technologies will facilitate the continued growth and expansion. Each facility comprises its own engineering, quality, machining, finishing and shipping departments, and all operate off the same quality manual.
“Expanding capacities and capabilities this year enables PreMedTec to continue offering high quality, custom implants and instruments with nominal lead times,” said Ryan Thornburgh, PreMedTec Business Development Manager. “The increase in machining capacities reduces lead times, thus allowing customers to get products to market quickly. We have also added a significant number of employees over the past few years to help with product throughput.”
