Exactech Announces First Surgeries Using InterSep Bone Void Filler

Exactech announced the successful first surgery using its new InterSep™ 100% synthetic calcium sulfate bone void filler.

InterSep is designed to fully resorb and replace bone while it heals. It has application in a variety of bone and joint replacement procedures, including use in infected bone sites. InterSep is available in putty or bead formats.

InterSep is manufactured by Pacific Bioceramics and distributed exclusively by Exactech.

InterSep joins other infection-related solutions from Exactech, including InterSpace® antibiotic spacer technology. The InterSpace Knee, Hip and Shoulder are preformed, articulating, partial load-bearing structures comprised of gentamicin-impregnated PMMA bone cement.

Presently available in limited launch, InterSep will enter full U.S. launch in 2H19.
