Accu-Tube Boosts Medical Device Sales with Online Marketplace

Accu-Tube, component manufacturer and supplier of precision 17-7 stainless steel tubing, will offer its off-the-shelf stock tubing online through Chamfr Marketplace. Chamfr helps medical device design engineers gain access to manufacturers that are committed to rapid component supply.

Accu-Tube will list precision 17-7, 304, 304L, 316, 316L and 321 stainless steel tubing for purchase online, to ship within 24 hours. Precision 17-7 has similar corrosion resistance as 304 stainless, but in a similar cold-worked condition it offers increased strength and better machinability. Accu-Tube’s products have been used in arthroscopic devices, minimally invasive surgical instrumentation, etc.

Accu-Tube was acquired by Washington Equity Partners in August 2018, and plans were laid for significant investments in manufacturing capacity. The Chamfr partnership supports the company’s strategic expansion, and follows rebranding activities that launched in January 2019.

“Over the past 6 months, Accu-Tube has been focused on growth and improvements to better serve customers,” said Kevin McGrath, CEO at Accu-Tube “This new channel allows our customers instant access to the components they need for their medical devices.”
