InVivoLink Introduces OrthoPod, a Tablet-based Implant Registry Application
InVivoLink is advancing the coordination of care related to adult reconstruction procedures via OrthoPod. Designed for the iPad 2, OrthoPod creates easy access to pre- and intra-operative planning tools that are shared among the clinic, distributor and hospital. The resulting dashboards and analytics enable physicians to review practice patterns that were previously unobtainable.
Last year, InVivoLink released the Remote Control application, enabling sales reps to manage procedure and inventory requests with clients and the operations department. Both Remote Control and OrthoPod work as a extensions of the InVivoLink network that collects and organizes data from each party so that the entire system performs more efficiently and more responsibly for the patient. By using these tools, physicians, clinics, distributors and hospitals work together through a seamlessly integrated network. The result is increased lead times for surgical planning, reduced manual processes, improved awareness of implant requirements and a reduction in communication errors. This reduces the cost of service, enhances the quality of care and elevates patient safety.
