Forecreu Investing US $6MM in French Plants

Forecreu — a specialty metals processing company with a global orthopaedic market — is making a US $6MM investment in its Mallicorne (Allier) and Commentry, France plants.

The investment includes the installation of a KOCKS 8-stand hot rolling mill, an increase in the power of its extrusion press, integrated draw cells, a protected-atmosphere oven and other peripherals. Forecreu will integrate a new process with this triangular rolling technology which, combined with the more powerful extrusion press, will better position the company in the medical device market in terms of capacity, cost and cycle time.

Outside research and development test partners will have access to new equipment. The company will also be able to engage in contract work.
