Tegra Medical Adds Manufacturing Space in U.S. and Costa Rica

Tegra Medical expanded its manufacturing locations in Hernando, Mississippi and Costa Rica.

The location in Hernando expands its GENSIS Tech Center® product development support with a 3,200-square-foot facility dedicated exclusively to prototyping and development of medical devices—specifically, spinal, trauma, large joint and extremities reconstruction implants and instruments. The core competencies of the Hernando facility include 4- and 5-axis CNC milling, CNC Swiss machining, Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) and gundrilling.

The expanded operations in Costa Rica are in response to growing customer demand for a strong presence outside the U.S. The new 27,000-square-foot building includes a 5,000-square-foot Class 8 cleanroom, space for machining, EDM, grinding, molding and stamping. The Costa Rica facility focuses on spinal implants and instruments, orthopaedic instruments, and cannulated and over-molded assemblies.

Tegra Medical provides end-to-end solutions from prototyping to full production and complex components exclusively for the medical device industry.
