AP&C Opens Powder Manufacturing Facility in Quebec

AP&C, a powder manufacturing subsidiary of Arcam, located in Quebec, Canada, opened a new facility in Saint-Eustache. The new manufacturing plant will employ 106 people by the end of 2017, continuing AP&C’s growth—the AP&C division has quadrupled in size during the past two years.

AP&C has invested more than US $25MM in the new plant. The facility boasts a present production capacity of 750 tons to start, with plans to achieve 1,250 tons at full capacity. This allows AP&C to meet the demand for high end titanium powder in the growing additive manufacturing market.

AP&C produces high purity titanium metal powders used in additive manufacturing (3D printing), metal injection molding, isostatic pressing and coatings. The company mainly serves aerospace and biomedical markets.

AP&C has also received ISO 13485 Certification, adding to former ISO 9001 and AS9100 Certifications.
