GE Additive Seeking to Certify Production Partners

GE Additive will identify several companies by the end of 2017 to become certified additive production centers. In June, GE Additive signed a memorandum of understanding with Oerlikon and is seeking others to create a network of additive production capabilities across industries and regions.

GE intends to accelerate the additive manufacturing process by providing machines, materials and engineering consultancy services to those who become certified. Certified partners will use additive machines from Concept Laser and Arcam, with additive material from AP&C and access to best practices developed at DiSanto Technology Inc. (DSI).

GE has invested U.S. $1.5BB in advanced manufacturing and additive technology over the past ten years. In 2016, GE established GE Additive and has since invested U.S. $1.4BB in Concept Laser and Arcam to become a leading supplier of additive technology, materials and services worldwide.
