Oberg Industries, parent to Oberg Medical, acquired certain assets and business of Boyle Industries, formerly located in Freeport, Pennsylvania.
Oberg is a full-service contract manufacturer of precision metal components, tooling and stamping assemblies. Boyle was founded by a former Oberg employee in 1985, creating a mutually beneficial relationship that saw work outsourced between the two. Boyle employees are skilled in surface and jig grinding, wire EDM and machining.
The acquisition is part of Oberg’s strategic plan to add capabilities, capacity, new products and skilled employees.
Oberg Medical’s focus lies in metal and plastic implants, instruments and assemblies for orthopedic, spine, extremity and other medical markets. Its manufacturing facilities are located in Pennsylvania and Costa Rica.
