Four Companies Integrate Under United Performance Metals

O’Neal Industries has merged and integrated four affiliate companies: Aerodyne Alloys, Plus Ten Stainless, United Performance Metals and Vulcanium Metals International, forming one high performance metals company: United Performance Metals (UPM).

The company’s inventory now covers numerous industries, including medical, and offers stainless steel, nickel alloys, cobalt alloys, cobalt chrome moly, titanium, aluminum and alloy steel in coil, sheet, strip, plate, bar and near net shapes.

Vulcanium Metals was acquired by UPM in 2013. Since then, Vulcanium has increased its materials offerings for the medical device industry and was granted ISO 13485:2003 Certification for the distribution and processing of metal for medical devices. 

UPM uses proprietary FIRSTCUT+® Processing Services that include cut-to-length, leveling, slitting, edging, chamfering & facing, shearing, laser cutting, laser gauge measurement, water jet cutting, plasma cutting, sawing, precision cold saw cutting, precision blanks, first stage machining, heat treating, ultra-sonic testing, boring, trepanning and deburring.
