Arcam's AP&C Subsidiary to Build Second Powder Plant

Arcam subsidiary AP&C, based in Montreal, Canada, has begun to build its second powder plant in Saint-Eustache, Qu├ębec. APC plans to invest up to CAD 31MM (~US $24MM) in the facility and create 106 new jobs, in addition to the 85 people currently employed, within the next three years.

AP&C specializes in plasma-atomized metal powders for Additive Manufacturing, serving customers in the aerospace and orthopaedic industries. The company announced plans to increase its facility and financing for the project, earlier this year.

Arcam offers Electron Beam Melting systems through Arcam AB in Sweden, powder metals through AP&C in Canada and implant contract manufacturing through DiSanto in the U.S.
