Jarvis Surgical/Jarvis Precision Polishing was selected as the Silver Level West Region winner in the 2016 Thirteenth Annual Team Massachusetts Economic Impact Awards, administered by MassEcon, the state’s private sector partner in promoting business growth.
Companies were chosen on the basis of job growth, facility expansion, investment and community involvement since January 2015.
Jarvis Surgical specializes in the manufacture of precision components for the orthopaedic industry. The company invested $1.7 million in a 15,000-square-foot facility and supported the creation of 15 new jobs; the additional space will house new manufacturing equipment and can support up to 24 new employees as Jarvis seeks to diversify its customer base while meeting needs of present customers.
Jarvis Surgical provides production and prototype parts, specializing in concurrent engineering for optimum performance and manufacturability. Products include shoulder components, hip and knee implants, instruments and a variety of spinal implants and components.
Along with its investments in infrastructure, the company supports the education and empowerment of orthopaedic industry professionals through its commitment as a longtime OMTEC Exhibitor.
