NN Precision Engineered Products Group Adds Electron Beam Welding Capabilities

NN, Inc. Precision Engineered Products Group (PEP) announced the addition of Electron Beam Welding to provide customers with more options for complex precision assemblies. The welding capability will be used wherever high strength bonding of metal components is required.

All welds are created in a vacuum chamber for ultra-low contamination, and electron beams can be aimed with exceptional accuracy to weld small medical device components with high precision and strength that can be comparable to that of a monolithic unit.

NN, Inc. completed its acquisition of Precision Engineered Products in 4Q15.

NN is focused on precision, metal bearing and plastic and rubber components for the medical and other industries. The company is headquartered in Johnson City, Tennessee, and has 42 manufacturing plants in North America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, South America and China.
