WebOps Appoints New CTO

WebOps has appointed Richard Powers, former CIO of CardioMEMS, as its Chief Technology Officer. WebOps is a provider of medical device logistics software.

At CardioMEMS, Mr. Powers created a secure, private cloud-based disease management SaaS platform that was a key value driver for an acquisition deal with St. Jude Medical, valued at over $450 million. He is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Health Society of the Technology Association of Georgia, member of the Board of Directors for the Cloud Society of TAG, member of the Board of Directors for Trinity Early Learning Center and a Finalist for both the 2013 and 2014 Georgia CIO of the Year Awards.

WebOps orthopaedic clients include Alphatec Spine, Consensus Orthopedics, Stryker and Stanmore Implants (itself acquired by Stryker).

Mark Ouellette, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for WebOps joined a BONEZONE roundtable to discuss ways that 3PL/third party logistics providers can provide services to the whole spectrum of orthopaedic device companies, in the May 2015 article, “New Supply Chain Models Shift Resources from Device Makers to 3PLs.”
