Lowell Adds Quality Manager

Lowell announced that Ed Yaris has joined the company as its Quality Manager. Yaris comes to Lowell with experience in Metrology, Management and CMM Software development, including leadership positions at National Security Technologies, Helmel Engineering Products, Renishaw and GE.

Yaris is a member of seven ASME/B89 standards committees, including Coordinate Metrology, Uncertainty and he also chairs the Probes and Sensors committee. He serves on the steering committee for the North American Coordinate Metrology Association, comprising standards committees and industry experts from the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Achieving Built-In-Quality can be accomplished via the use of lean manufacturing principles. Joe Mazzeo, Owner of Integrated Lean and Quality Solutions, will walk OMTEC attendees through the Juran Trilogy, a set of quality principles that focuses on long-term quality improvement through quality planning, quality control and continuous improvement. This presentation will focus on how effectively applying the Juran Trilogy can help an organization achieve the objective of Built-In-Quality.
