PartMaker Launches 2016 CAM Software Version

Delcam has released PartMaker 2016 Software for programming CNC Mills, Lathes, Wire EDMs, Turn-Mill Centers and Swiss-type lathes.

Highlights include what Delcam claims are the most powerful 2 1/2-axis milling machining strategies found on the CAM market today, support for the import of multiple solid models into a single PartMaker CAM project file, specialist support for broaching, faster 2D CAD drafting and tool path selection.

Comprehensive details on all new features and functionality can be found at the PartMaker 2016 learning zone.

The new milling functionality specifically targets production machining applications, allowing users not only to program faster but also machine parts faster than ever before. The new milling toolpath technology obviates the need for a solid model.

PartMaker 2016 also offers the ability to import multiple solid models into a single PartMaker CAM project file and extract multiple parts from an imported solid assembly.

Finally, PartMaker 2016 includes what is reportedly the CAM software industry’s first dedicated functionality for broaching. PartMaker Version 2016 automates the programming of both index and rotary broaching operations in an intuitive, visual manner and allows broaching operations to be simulated using 3D simulation.
