Orthopaedic Innovation Centre Receives $5MM to Support Additive Manufacturing Hub

Canada’s Western Economic Diversification division announced CAN $5 million in funding to support the Orthopaedic Innovation Centre’s (OIC) development of an Advanced Digital Manufacturing Hub. OIC will purchase metal additive manufacturing equipment for the testing, development, precision measurement and fabrication of advanced orthopaedic materials and technologies.

This funding represents one component within a larger strategic project that will see OIC partner with Stratasys to establish its first Canadian presence in Winnipeg. (Source: Western Economic Diversification Canada)
