ECA Medical Launches Sterile-Packed, Disposable Instrument Kit for One- & Two-Level Fusions

Cervical One Instrument Kit v1

ECA Medical Instruments launched the sterile-packed, single-use Cervical-One instrument set, designed for one- and two-level cervical spine procedures.

The set is available for tailoring and branding by spine implant OEMs for securing plates, screws and interbody devices used to treat spine degeneration and deformity. The kit can be branded in different colors, handle shapes and sizes and is intended to reduce cost, eliminate reprocessing, improve patient safety and reduce risk of surgical site infection.

ECA Medical is marketing the kits in three configurations: instrument set for anterior cervical plate and screw fixation, interbody implant fixation kit, and a combined anterior cervical discectomy fusion (ACDF) kit combining instrumentation. The fully-disposable kits include cannulated fixed drivers, torque limiters, cannulated countersinks and depth gauge instrument, drill guides, guide wires and drill bits.

In July, the company launched what was reported to be the orthopaedic industry’s first sterile-packed instrument set for securing cannulated titanium screws, in addition to kits for hand and wrist repair and joint arthroplasty.
