Phillips Precision Medicraft, a leading contract manufacturer of advanced orthopedic implants, instrumentation, delivery systems, cases and trays, has hired Stan Janosz as Director of Continuous Improvement to lead the company’s corporate performance improvement programs.

Mr. Janosz comes to PPM with 25 years of contract manufacturing experience, the last 20 focused on medical device manufacturing and process improvements. Stan’s continuous improvement journey began in 1999 and received the title of director of quality and organizational development in 2001 for a contract manufacturer serving the top 5 Global OEMs. His proven record of increasing throughput and revenue while optimizing customer experience and quality management system compliance will drive Phillips Precision Medicraft’s operational excellence goals.

“PPM has built a strong reputation for quality products, innovation and service by continually evolving,” said, John Phillips, president of operations, Implants and Instrumentation Division. “Stan’s leadership skills, experience and his passion to create a culture of continuous improvement will guide us on our next journey. This journey will be ongoing and positions us to offer more value to our customers while remaining competitive in a global market.

“Implementing and maintaining lean manufacturing or other continuous improvement initiatives may sometimes feel arduous, but the long term benefits can not be refuted. When viewed as a philosophy instead of a program, continuous improvement fundamentally delivers a true cultural change starting at the leadership level with a targeted focus on all its people. Phillips Precision Medicraft’s foundation is built upon respect and loyalty to its employees and vice versa. This is an ideal environment to implement the culture of continuous improvement, ensuring involvement and participation of every member of the company to unleash everyone’s potential. The waste of one’s talent is the biggest waste of all,” said Stan Janosz.

Phillips Precision Medicraft has always embraced lean principles within its engineering and manufacturing processes. Today, it takes another evolutionary step by unfurling the power of continuous improvement within its entire organization to foster a culture keenly focused on optimizing its customer experience while continuing to manufacture the world-class products it is known for.
