Donson Announces Equipment Investments

Donson Machine, a contract manufacturer of orthopaedic implants and instruments, announced the purchase of two MG/MORI NT 4250 Turn & Mill Machining Centers.

These are Donson’s eighth and ninth Mori Seiki NT Series machines. The new machines complement the company’s current multi-axis machining capabilities. Specifically, according to Donson, “the NT 4250 offers increased productivity and superior process integration, and provides exceptional flexibility for machining the most complex parts in a single handling.”

This capital investment is one of several in 2018 for Donson, the company’s 40th year in business. Other investments this year included a CITIZEN-Cincom M432-VII CNC Swiss Turning Center, a Mazak VARIAXIS i600/700 with Dual Pallet Changer and a Hurco VMX42SRTi 5-Axis CNC Mill.

Donson’s manufacturing capabilities include CNC milling, turning, wire EDM, finishing, polishing, prototyping, laser marking and surface preparation. Donson fabricates implants and instruments from titanium, stainless steels, specialty alloys and medical-grade plastics.
