Nelson Laboratories Expands Operations, Testing Capabilities

Nelson Laboratories, provider of global lab testing and consulting services, is undertaking strategic investments to expand operations and service capabilities at its Itasca, Illinois location.

Facility upgrades include 10,000 square feet of building expansion and renovated lab space, with a new BI sterility suite to support EO sterilization validations.

Testing offerings now include more than double the capacity for bioburden, radiation sterilization validations, bacterial endotoxin testing and product sterility testing for medical devices and pharmaceutical products. New testing capabilities will be fully operational beginning May 1. These capabilities will include medical device particulate testing, healthcare reprocessing validations, sterilization for reuse validations and genetic microbial identification testing.
