Arcamed, an Indianapolis, Indiana-based supplier of case and tray systems and precision-machined products to orthopaedic OEMs, has acquired Veracity Medical Solutions.
The merger expands Arcamed’s capabilities to include contract manufacturing of instruments and implants.
Arcamed’s surgical cases and trays are manufactured with the company’s exclusive ARC™ (All Riveted Construction) system of design, enhancing the durability, usability and attractiveness of case-tray systems, according to the company.
“The acquisition of Veracity significantly strengthens our position in the medical manufacturing market and broadens our product offering,” Jon Desalvo, President & CEO of Arcamed, said in a statement. “We welcome the addition of the Veracity team and look forward to providing our customers with a single source to address all of their medical manufacturing needs.”
Veracity Medical Solutions, based in Memphis, Tennessee, offers design, development, prototype, custom and special-order service of complex surgical instrumentation and implants.
Mr. Desalvo told Inside Indiana Business that the Veracity name and Memphis presence will remain and nearly 20 employees are part of Arcamed, which employs around 40. He also reporteed that Arcamed will now have an orthopedic customer base of “over 100 customers, which should really open a lot of doors for us to grow both of these businesses strategically.”
