Croom Precision Medical, based in Limerick, Ireland, is building up its network as it seeks to break into the U.S. market. The company exhibited for the first time in the U.S. at OMTEC 2017, and while in Chicago, held meetings with prominent local businesspeople.
Croom, which was founded more than 30 years ago and specializes in orthopaedic device manufacturing and custom tooling, currently serves the orthopaedic industry’s largest players: DePuy Synthes, Zimmer Biomet and Stryker.
The company has received permission to build a research and development administration building that would support its U.S. growth. The facility is expected to provide up to 60 jobs, mainly in engineering, in the coming years.
