Marox Acquired by Sussex Wire

Sussex Wire, manufacturer of cold formed components for a variety of industries, acquired Marox, a manufacturer of orthopaedic implants and instruments. The companies will operate as separate entities, retaining their leadership and employees. The transaction was backed by Argosy Private Equity.

For the orthopaedic industry, Sussex Wire provides components such as drive wires and titanium staples, while Marox manufactures implants and instruments for spine, hip, knee and extremities.

The acquisition supports the strategy of both companies to provide more diverse capabilities; for instance, Marox’s CNC Swiss Turning, CNC Milling and CNC Mill/Turn machining are a complement to Sussex Wire’s cold formed, roll formed and 4-slide capabilities.
