Promimic Appoints New Chairman and Directors to Board

Promimic, a biomaterials portfolio company of Karolinska Development, has elected Tord Lendau as Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Hakan Krook and Patrik Sjostrand as Non-executive Directors.

Tord Lendau brings more than 32 years of international leadership and board experience as General Manager at Sandvik MedTech, with previous senior executive roles at Synectics, Medtronic, ArthroCare and Diamyd.

Hakan Krook is Fund Manager at Chalmers Ventures and was previously CEO of ALMI Invest Vastsverige, with more than 20 years of experience from advising fast-growing companies.

Patrik Sjostrand has been Investment Manager at Almi Invest since October 2015. Prior to this, he was Chief Operational Officer at Orzone.

Promimic specializes in production of the bioactive substance hydroxyapatite used in its FDA-cleared HAnano Surface technology.
