Coorstek is investing $120 million to create a new Center for Advanced Materials in Golden, Colorado. The investment will support the rapid development of new materials, helping CoorsTek customers optimize their use of high-performance properties of advanced ceramics.
The CoorsTek Center for Advanced Materials will include:
- A research and development hub to support development of ceramic materials and processes for a variety of next-generation applications,
- An analytical laboratory to provide comprehensive ceramic analyses, and
- A materials manufacturing facility enabling swift commercialization and volume production using the latest technologies in advanced ceramic processing.
“Co-locating the materials processing facility together with research, development and analytical teams allows close collaboration between CoorsTek experts and our customers’ experts — ensuring we provide maximum value from idea through delivery,” explains Randel Mercer, Executive VP of Global Technology and Market Development.
